The Company

KaraB was founded by Kara Buttimer in 2003. She had become so tired of carrying the same old, boring, black nylon laptop bag that she just had to do something about it.

After talking to her friends and colleagues, she learned they felt the same way; everyone was frustrated by the lack of unique, fashionable, yet well-designed laptop bags.

Having been in the fashion industry for over 15 years, Kara was able to collaborate with a number of factories and friends to create alternatives.

The Bags

There are four different bag styles, all characterized by quality construction, functionality, and versatility. Each style has special features to make it even more useful than the usual bag—from adjustable shoulder straps to styles that convert from a briefcase to a backpack. Using easy-to-care-for fabrics that range from neon bright faux patent leathers to sophisticated tweeds, every season offers a new collection of fabulous fabrics and colors.
